First time we meet

Our story begun in October 7th 2018, when Curtis and a common friend talked about Peru in one of their many many train trips.

As fortune would have it, this friend knew of a lovely doctor girl from the land of the Inca, interested in visiting soon the great white north. Cowboy Curtis was immediately intrigued and asked for her phone number.

Little did he know he had the winning lottery ticket with that number. He messaged her when he got home, and after a “maybe we can talk later, I have to drive...” the messages never stopped. It was an unexpected blessing and an unstoppable meteorite coming into our lifes to change everything.

We knew from the beginning that there was something special about us, where we slowly grew into the love we both have waited for all of our lifes…. We can say now God works in mysterious ways.

We fall in love each other

Pilar thinks we fell in love on December, because I remember expecting each message with joy and emotion, wanting to know how was her day and if she was thinking of me.

That month I decided to meet her in Peru. On January 15th, when I crossed the world southward to meet her, I heard her voice callinf for first time.

I tried to see her, I think I understand why girls use high heels. On January 15th when I finally saw Curtis first time for real, I was so speechless and felt so shy.

I couldn´t avoid laughging for being nervious when he said “Pilar you are more beautifull than I could have imagined”. In that moment I realized I wanted to have that, for the rest of my life.

We agree that we fell in love day by day anticipating every message we wrote and phone call we had with each other.

He asked?..She said Yes

Pilar came to the Great White North in April, with much dread of freezing to death. Thankfully it wasn't cold, although it wasn't really warm either, in Curtis´s eyes.

After a few days in curtis' hometown, we went on an adventure to Banff (one of Curtis' favourite places on earth).

We stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel and Pilar looked right at home there. After we settled in, we enjoyed a most wonderful meal, full of good food and a lot of laughter (we spend most of our time laughing together).

After we ate, we went exploring the hotel, which is probably Canada's closet version of a Castle. We were in awe of its beauty and learned more of its brief history.

After a time, we stopped into a medieval spanish room, that looks like the hall of a great castle. Curtis got on one knee and asked Pilar for the honor of being her husband and to love and care for her for the rest of our lives.

She said yes.(a great relief to Curtis!!... he was having really backache). It was such a fitting place to become engaged, belonging to a King and a Queen :D.

The wedding day!

Both of us got together in Canada, Banff again, with my parents and Curti´s family.

Was a real big emotional event this past August 28th inside de Administration Building with amazing Cascades Gardens. A dream came true for both of us. Another big step for our commitment to God and Virgin this October 5th in Peru.

It was a sunny magical day in Canada. We enjoyed so much mixing our families and having great time :).

Now it will be this October 5th next stop in this Heavinly Journey.
